關於自己帶酒到餐廳吃飯這件事情,我很好奇歐洲侍酒師的看法。那天在Caelis用餐遇到一位親切的法籍侍酒師,他告訴我確實很少人自己帶酒。如果有這個計畫,可以先致電餐廳詢問是否許可。開瓶費的計算也通常是酒單裡最便宜的一隻酒的價格,當然每間餐廳收費不ㄧ。
他跟我分享,自己也曾帶酒到餐廳,不過是比較輕鬆自在的餐館就是了。

I have always been curious whether it's appropriate to bring your own bottle of wine for dinner overseas, especially in Europe. I met a very friendly sommelier at Caelis and he told me it's rare that people bring their bottles but you can still call and ask if it's possible when making reservations. The restaurant usually either charges for the cheapest wine on the wine list, or a fixed corkage fee. Of course it depends!
He shared his personal experience when he brought his own bottle of wine to a more relaxed and casual restaurant before.
